There are new policies regarding students in the Registrars and Students section

GatDoc Policies

I have updated the GatDoc policy folder today. Although there should be little that you are not already aware of, may I remind you that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with the policies of the organisation.

Whistleblowing Policy

I have added a whistle blowing policy to the Policies section of the handbook. it is one of the many policies required for CQC registration.

New Policies

As promised (threatened?) I have today published several policies reflecting our need to comply with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
Doctors should be familiar with the policies, but as a minimum need to know where to find them when working (they are in the policies folder). Thank you for your co-operation in this.

Leaving Shifts

The board has head reports of some doctors leaving their GatDoc shifts during their duty. We are aware that it is common practice for one doctor to leave a little early if a shift is quiet, however it is not acceptable for doctors to leave to attend to other matters during their duties. We would therefore like to remind doctors that they should not book other duties or standbys when they are scheduled to work for GatDoc.

CQC Registration

GatDoc has registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). As part of the requirements of registration we have been developing polices for most aspects of GatDoc’s operation and you will find them appearing on the website over the next few weeks. Duty doctors, I’m afraid, will be expected to be familiar with these policies.
